How can time affect time management?

Time management is very crucial in our everyday lives. We all have the same amount of hours in a day, which we all know it’s not enough when it comes to work. There’s just so much work that needs to be done and we all tend to cram everything in one period. We all tend to lose focus of our work because there is just too much work to do. We go around to do one thing and then get distracted and then do another thing. These are bad habits that we all have. The reason why we tend to have these habits all come from the lack of time time management.

Patricia Thompson, PhD, author of Self-Management vs Time Management: What You Need to Know quotes “The answer is simple: many people tend to focus more on time, and less on themselves. And without even realizing, they end up doing the wrong thing at the wrong time.” What the author means by this we all rely on time too much that we don’t even know what we are doing. Especially when we are doing work, we tend to focus more on time because we all know that time passes by fast and there just isn’t enough time in day. We all get messed up when there are just so little time and so much task to complete.

I agree with the author because when we are doing work, we tend to look at either the clock, our phone, our watches, for what? There’s only one answer to that, and that is the time. We all need to revert ourselves by not worrying about if there is enough time in a day but rather focus on what work we can get done in that time frame. We can only do so much in one day so we need to focus on what we can get done, or we need to focus on what can be done. Focus on one topic and try to complete in a certain time frame and then work on something else. By doing this, we can manage time efficiently and get work done by the end on the day and not have to worry about it. We can also set ourselves a daily schedule. This way, we know what we need to do that day and complete it without cramming three or more topics at once.

Working with time efficiently is all of our goals. Not just in the work force, school but in our daily lives. We need to manage our time efficiently so we know what we have to do and finish it. This doesn’t rack up stress and any other mental pressure we can obtain. We should utilize what time we have because there is only 24 hours in a day and you can’t just spend the whole 24 hours doing work. There should be time for socializing and other fun things out there. So manage time efficiently because there is only so much time we have.
