Blaze Obliterates Church but not a Single Bible or Cross Burns

The fact that this story went viral, even on CNN, is a testament to God’s wanting to send a message to the world at large that he is still in charge, with this miracle that defies logic and physics, as everything burns in a church except the Bibles and crosses.

Miracles come in all shapes and sizes. We have heard countless stories of car accidents where people are miraculously saved. There have been accounts of people witnessing angels pulling people from a car wreck. People have survived car crashes that defy explanation.

Here is another miracle that defies explanation, where a fire is so intense that it drives out firefighters and burns everything in the building — except Bibles and crosses that should have burned with everything else.

On March 3, a fire broke out at Freedom Ministries Church in Grandview, West Virginia, and firefighters were dispatched around 12:58 AM.

When the firefighters arrived they found that the whole church was engulfed in the roaring blaze. As the fire ravaged its way through the church, it was too much for firefighters to handle at one point.

“Picture this, a building so hot that at one point in time, firefighters had to back out,” the Coal City Fire Department wrote in a Facebook post.

Eventually, the firefighters knocked the flames down.

After the firefighters had contained and knocked down the blaze, they began rummaging through the rubble checking for any remaining hotspots.

“In your mind, everything should be burned, ashes,” the Coal City Fire Department wrote in their Facebook post.

But what they discovered inside shocked them.

“Not a single bible was burned and not a single cross was harmed!” The Fire Department wrote and they posted the pictures to prove it.

But God did more than just protect the Bibles and crosses, he also protected the firefighters.

“Not a single firefighter was hurt!” The fire department added in their post. Obviously, with the blaze being so hot that it forced the firefighters out, it speaks to the danger involved in the utter intensity of the fire.

Logic and physics offer no explanation for what happened at this church. Every single thing in the church was destroyed, yet the Bibles and crosses were unharmed. This makes absolutely no sense. It defies all explanations, rational thinking and our knowledge of how the world works.

There is only one explanation: A miracle.

This event sends us a message from God to show us that He exists. He is real. He is in control.

There’s nothing wrong with science. The problem comes when you put science before God, or worse, when you live with a worldview that completely excludes God and only looks to science.

As this event proves, science clearly does not hold all the answers for the way the world works in every situation.

This occurrence reminds us to “wake up and smell the ashes,” and the lack thereof.
