Imagine growing up within a country filled with turmoil, war, poverty ,famine and no sense of hope. Eventually fleeing your homeland uprooting your entire family from just about everything they know with little to no help or resources on a search to freedom . With high hopes in mind on the way it’s diminish from the treacherous journey that awaits.

While In route sadly and unfortunately your displaced from family and others you’ve met along the way. On a journey of such it ultimately defines whom you are as person. This is the Sacrificial Freedom of a refugee. In a foreign country with no clue or idea of the wear about of your love ones and all is known of you is the stapled fact your Stateless.

Now the question to self is “ How anyone survives mentally knowing they possibly sacrifice their family for a chance at freedom” .

Per the U.N Currently there is approximately 70.8 million people around the world displaced from their homes with more than half of them under the age of 17. With such an unprecedented amount the urge for better policy’s and realistic options with safer passage ways are at a high demand.

Yes! Refugee camps are in place for shelter and aide but the crises on refugees is only increasing by the way. Amongst majority of these camps it’s a high volume of food shortages and most importantly the lack of medical assistance. And just to add to that just about all within the camp are from different walks of the Earth which a substantial amount have entered the camps with pre-medical issues that also places a high threat to the survival of themselves and others. Along side these issues the lack of educational opportunities is an unfathomable high.

With Thinking about these issues which at hand it’s even harder to imagine about the other internal battles amongst themselves which the refugees constantly with it. Not to mention the abuse and endless amount of people whom has been raped for years within these camps. It’s said to be that it’s an average of 10 –14 years before majority of the displaced gain access to some form residency some who have also been turned back after years of waiting. The time for change is now it’s up to we the people of the land to provide solidarity and compassion for others whom as had to fled their country’s of birth to gain some form of normality.

My goal to self is to provide a way for the displaced who’s family members has been missing or placed in other camps have some form a way to reunite.

Either thur a database system within the camps or an application which they can search thur for others. Whom are also In search if their family and love ones.

It is important to recognize environmental and social impact of being a displaced person. Especially if the goal is to create and employ a product or service that will empower the displaced person with access to wholistic problem solving resources.

To action such an effort one must understand the following P.E.S.T characteristics and deliver solutions that overcomes any objections or weakness that gives power to displaced persons restraints. Such as:

Political

Economical

Sociology

Technological

Upon analyzing the responses from interviewing some current refugees there quite a few issues that is at hand. Mainly this biggest issues I see is safety amongst the refuge. The opportunities for job placements is significantly low. With the numbers so low the question to self is “ Why” , to find the answer to that opens up a range of additional issues. Due to lack of proper paperworks often prevents employers from evening taking a chance. Thinking of this brings to mind a stereotype that no matter how hard as a society we try to diminish tends to resurface itself. Outside of job placement the mental aspects of a refugee in most cases is normally troubled. Not being able to connect to family out of fear for one’s life can create an unstable mind. The journey itself to freedom takes a toll anyone and to even image being in a foreign land without family for support. The challenges that a refugee faces when adopting to new life can be made much more simpler with just a little more help from society. Based on my views and ideas to assist with the issues they face as a human race we can all protect and provide for well the well in need and less fortunate.

Below is a few responses from a refugee questionnaire I conducted.

Q1: The international community defines refugee as a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster. Considering this definition how do you define your current life circumstances?

Answer: I consider myself as a person in search of a new home. One that is free of oppression and one that has proven protections for its citizens.

Q2: By what route and means did you arrive at this refugee camp?

Answer: I arrive here by walking from South Mexico to Laredo Tx. I had no means only generous people along the way.

Q3: Where and what along the journey was the most difficult for you and how did you overcome the difficulty?

Answer: My difficulty began immediately as I was forced to leave behind everything and everybody that I knew within 10 minutes. I fled to save my life and had no money, no car, no idea of what I would do.

Q4: What about your journey would you have changed; if you could?

Answer: I don’t believe I can answer this question because much of my journey I can’t really remember. Each minute, each hour, each day was controlled by fear and constant need to try to survive. So, outside of not wanting to be in my circumstance at all. I can’t answer this question.

Q5: What’s the one thing you most miss about your former life; since achieved refugee status?

Answer: My family. I would love to reunite with my family.

Q6: What’s three things about the camp you were placed that you liked/dislike?

Answer: I liked the safety, potential opportunity, and food. I disliked my inability to communicate effectively.

Q7: What are three things you think you would improve within the camp?

Answer: I do not have 3 things that I would improve within the camp. I have one. I would shorten the time it takes to complete the refugee approval process. The time and fear that I experienced much of the time seemed unbearable.

Q8: How are you over-coming the difficulties of being a refugee in a foreign land?

Answer: I do have many moments of grief wondering about my family. I simply pray and remember that this was the only option available to me and that I am blessed to have it.

The objective of the Refuze app is to help people of refuge trying to be acclimated to society in a forgien land. With my app you’ll be able to gain help finding jobs , also connections to career development programs. Housing is a big factor when in a new land for refugees . With subscriptions to the app users would be able to get help with the hardship of finding home and shelter . Extensions to that is roomshare programs for easy the load for rent when there is already little to no jobs. Our main objective at Refuze is to provide humanitarian assistance to refuge in need. Our four major pillars are mental health assistantships , housing , job placement and schooling. Based on research majority of refugees suffer from PTSD and a wide variety of mental trauma which why is mental health is one of the main focus for us to provide to our subscribers. Having control of one’s mental health is major factor in rehabilitation of oneself.
A unique benefit to our subscribers is being able to reflect your thoughts and goals to a live person on a daily basis which eventually builds confidence in our subscribers to where the possibilities are endless. An intro to society sometimes just need an extra support system which is what Refuze hopes to accomplish and provide to our subscribers.
