The Box

It is full. Of what you might ask? Well, that’s what brings me here.

I had a few reasons for moving to the New York metro area after college: career, friends, and (probably most exciting to my teenage self) the appeal of Broadway shows at my finger tips. Over the past 8 years, I’ve filled this box with Playbills and programs from all the shows or events that I’ve attended.

That adds up to a total of 195. If I’m being honest, I’ll admit that I’m a little annoyed the count did not come to an even and beautiful 200. But, as you can see, the box is rather stuffed.

So what’s next? First, I clearly need a new box . Second, to mark this momentous occasion of box transition, I’ve decided to start writing down my thoughts on the shows that I see. I’ll write a post for all future performances and once a month I’ll write about a randomly selected Playbill from my first box. I’m tremendously excited to take these trips down memory lane because I’ve had so many fond experiences seeing shows with friends and family. One of my favorite things to do is to share this art form with loved ones and to discuss reactions, both positive and negative, after a performance. Thank you to all those who have gone to see a show with me in the past. Here’s to all of the performances to come!
